Wishes

All of us have our own wishes. Wishes that can easily fullfill, or wishes that we might can't fullfill forever. I will talk about my wish lists in this blog post.

My husband is a phone addict. He used his phone almost most of the time. In toilet, before sleep, after meals etc. He is using an ASUS phone I bought from Lazada Malaysia. And the screen was cracked into spider web after fell down on the floor, without any screen protector. I wish I can buy him a new phone, but it's beyond my budget for most of the nice phone. Huawei Mate 9 is one of my wishlist.

Both me and my husband are super coffee lover. A day a coffee (or more) is a must.

When this NESCAFE Gold Barista Machine launched, I wished to get it immediately. But still, it's beyond our budget. So I can only put it in my Lazada's wish list.

Check out this powerful machine :

My husband loves fried food. But due to unhealthy oily foods, I have to forced him for not taking fried foods. With a air fryer, we can cook fried foods without oil and eat healthy. I wish to have a air fryer, for a better life style, healthier body.

I love to take photos. All the photos taken will only store in pc or phone. It's very hard to go town just to print few pcs of photos. I wish to have a Instax Share Printer, so that i can print quality photos into instax photo film.
I wish to have a bicycle. I love cycling. Cycling can also as an exercise, or to a destination with lower cost compare to car.

Above 5 items are my top wishlist that I had saved in my Lazada's account, hoping a day my wish will come true and own them.

Another way to make my wishes come true faster, is cashback ! I super loves cashback ! Whenever I shop at Lazada, I will activate my shopback cashback button at my chrome.

Ash Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday. Woke up a bit early than usual to attend the 6:15am chinese mass with my parent.

Ash Wednesday marks the start of a 40-day period which is an allusion to the separation of Jesus in the desert to fast and prayAsh Wednesday is one of the most popular and important holy days in the liturgical calendar. Ash Wednesday opens Lent, a season of fasting and prayer. Ash Wednesday takes place 46 days before Easter Sunday, and is chiefly observed by Catholics, although many other Christians observe it too.

What Should We Do For Lent? Here's Pope Francis’ 10 Tips

Every year Catholics try to answer the age old question: What should I do for Lent? Well, who better to pick for as your Lenten spiritual director than Pope Francis? He has some great ideas for you!
Here we selected 10 of his best tips:
1. Get rid of the lazy addiction to evil
“[Lent] is a ‘powerful’ season, a turning point that can foster change and conversion in each of us. We all need to improve, to change for the better. Lent helps us and thus we leave behind old habits and the lazy addiction to the evil that deceives and ensnares us.” – General Audience, March 5, 2014
2. Do something that hurts
“Lent is a fitting time for self-denial; we would do well to ask ourselves what we can give up in order to help and enrich others by our own poverty. Let us not forget that real poverty hurts: no self-denial is real without this dimension of penance. I distrust a charity that costs nothing and does not hurt.” – Lenten Message, 2014
3. Don’t remain indifferent
“Indifference to our neighbor and to God also represents a real temptation for us Christians. Each year during Lent we need to hear once more the voice of the prophets who cry out and trouble our conscience. God is not indifferent to our world; he so loves it that he gave his Son for our salvation.” –Lenten Message, 2015
4. Pray: Make our hearts like yours!
“During this Lent, then, brothers and sisters, let us all ask the Lord: ‘Fac cor nostrum secundum cor tuum’: Make our hearts like yours (Litany of the Sacred Heart of Jesus). In this way we will receive a heart which is firm and merciful, attentive and generous, a heart which is not closed, indifferent or prey to the globalization of indifference.” – Lenten Message, 2015
5. Take part in the sacraments
“Lent is a favorable time for letting Christ serve us so that we in turn may become more like him. This happens whenever we hear the word of God and receive the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. There we become what we receive: the Body of Christ.” – Lenten Message, 2015
6. Prayer
“In the face of so many wounds that hurt us and could harden our hearts, we are called to dive into the sea of prayer, which is the sea of God’s boundless love, to taste his tenderness. Lent is a time of prayer, of more intense prayer, more prolonged, more assiduous, more able to take on the needs of the brethren; intercessory prayer, to intercede before God for the many situations of poverty and suffering.” – Homily, March 5, 2014
7. Fasting
“We must be careful not to practice a formal fast, or one which in truth ‘satisfies’ us because it makes us feel good about ourselves. Fasting makes sense if it questions our security, and if it also leads to some benefit for others, if it helps us to cultivate the style of the Good Samaritan, who bends down to his brother in need and takes care of him.” – Homily, March 5, 2014
8. Almsgiving
“Today gratuitousness is often not part of daily life where everything is bought and sold. Everything is calculated and measured. Almsgiving helps us to experience giving freely, which leads to freedom from the obsession of possessing, from the fear of losing what we have, from the sadness of one who does not wish to share his wealth with others.” – Homily, March 5, 2014
9. Help the Poor
“In the poor and outcast we see Christ’s face; by loving and helping the poor, we love and serve Christ. Our efforts are also directed to ending violations of human dignity, discrimination and abuse in the world, for these are so often the cause of destitution. When power, luxury and money become idols, they take priority over the need for a fair distribution of wealth. Our consciences thus need to be converted to justice, equality, simplicity and sharing.” – Lenten Message, 2014
10. Evangelize
“The Lord asks us to be joyous heralds of this message of mercy and hope! It is thrilling to experience the joy of spreading this good news, sharing the treasure entrusted to us, consoling broken hearts and offering hope to our brothers and sisters experiencing darkness.” – Lenten Message, 2014
You probably won’t be able to take huge steps forward in all of these areas. Instead, pick a couple that stand out to you and try to find practical ways to grow in your love of God and your love of your neighbor.

4 Lifestyle Tips for Hypothyroidism

What Can You Do to Live Well with Hypothyroidism?

Leading an overall healthy lifestyle—one that includes eating well and exercising—can help you manage hypothyroidism. But what else can you do to live well with hypothyroidism? This slideshow walks you through 4 lifestyle tips for hypothyroidism.

Having hypothyroidism can make you feel exhausted and sluggish, and it can make it difficult to concentrate, among other things—even when you’re taking levothyroxine (a type of thyroid hormone replacement therapy and the most common treatment for hypothyroidism).

But what else can you do to take charge of your hypothyroidism? Keep clicking to learn 4 lifestyle tips that can help you live well with hypothyroidism.

Lifestyle Tip #1: Fill Up with Healthy Foods

But What Should You Eat?

While there isn’t a hypothyroidism diet, you should focus your meals around veggies, fruits, whole grains, lean protein, and healthy fats. And to keep your energy levels stable, you can eat small meals throughout the day.

Weight gain is a common symptom of hypothyroidism, so eating well can also help you maintain a healthy weight. Some foods (eg, high-fiber foods) and supplements (eg, iron, calcium) can affect how you absorb levothyroxine, so talk to your doctor about these foods and supplements.

Lifestyle Tip #2: Exercise Regularly, and Mix It Up

Walking, Weight Lifting, and Yoga

You already know how good exercise is for you, but are you doing enough of it? If you are, are you mixing it up enough? Exercise can boost energy, decrease stress, and help you maintain a healthy weight (all important benefits, especially if you have hypothyroidism).

Work in the 3 types of exercises: aerobic (aka cardio), strengthening, and flexibility. Exercises to try: Walking, light weight lifting, and yoga. Talk to your doctor before trying a new exercise program.

Lifestyle Tip #3: Get Some Much-needed Stress Relief

From Meditation to Massage

Have you been told to relax lately? If so, you were probably thinking, ‘How can I relax when I have a million things to do?’ Well, it’s time to make yourself a priority.

Having a chronic disease—even if it’s being treated and monitored by your doctor—can be stressful. It can take a toll on your overall health. To combat stress, pencil in a weekly massage or schedule a daily 5-minute session of deep breathing or meditation.

Lifestyle Tip #4: Hit the Snooze Button
Go to Bed Early Tonight

If you have hypothyroidism, you probably feel tired throughout the day. What helps? Establishing a sleep schedule and sticking to it helps. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day—including weekends. In general, the sweet spot for sleep is between 7 and 9 hours.

If you have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep, talk to your doctor about other ways to help you drift off into dreamland.

Take Charge of Your Hypothyroidism
The lifestyle tips in this slideshow are part of any healthy lifestyle. And although there’s no cure for hypothyroidism, taking your medication in addition to incorporating these lifestyle changes can help you lead a healthy life.
