CNY 2016

CNY came really fast and ended really fast too. Today back to reality, start working again after 9 days of holiday.

This is my first CNY as Mrs. Kho, without my family, reunion dinner without my family, need to prepare f & b by our own, need to decorate our own home, need to give away angpows, no angpow can collect etc.

After married, of course my reunion dinner will be with the husband's family. Our reunion dinner is charcoal steamboat. Husband said charcoal steamboat is a must since their grandparent's time. Too bad both their grandparent are not here anymore. Red eggs because it's also my bro in law's birthday. :D

After dinner, we went home to wait for 12am, to play fire crackers ! Our first time also.

We woke up at 8am to prepare foods for open house. It's my first experience with open house. I had never have open house at my parent's home before.I only fried chicken wings, husband prepared fried mee and stir fried chicken with black pepper sauce. Mum in law prepared kacangma and mixed vegetables.

In the morning, there were less people coming, more to my friends. Afternoon onwards, husband's relatives started coming in. And my house was full of people, some even need to stand.

2nd day joined husband and family visit to their relative's home. Bro came early morning to our home too.

3rd day i flew to KK to join my family as husband already started working. So he asked me to join my family instead of staying home alone. He don't let me stay alone at home one. Woke up at 4am and he sent me to airport at 430am. Poor husband.

Reached KK on time, thanks God the flight was so smooth. Parent picked me from airport and back to hotel to have breakfast. As it's Ash Wednesday, so no meat allowed. I only ate bread and eggs.

We went Suria KK almost everyday to watch lion dances, dragon performance. Their decoration was so nice.

Went also Kundasang. Praise the Lord weather was good and we can view the full mountain kinabalu.

We went Kundasang because mum wanted to buy flowers. She bought 5 pots.

Back to Miri by car, reached Miri around 3pm.
