While Malaysia is gearing towards the direction of a developed country, unfortunately, many Malaysians are still living in houses that are so decrepit, they can be of danger to their occupants. Aware of this humbling reality,Maxis and Epic Home initiated a special project with five of the giants of Malaysia’s online retailers and shopping sites to provide a donation of materials and workforce in helping those who are in need.
In a collaboration with four other online retailers (Gemfive, HappyFresh, Rakuten, and Zalora), Lazada Malaysia is proud to be one of the main platforms for the public to chip in their donations in building the homes for many unfortunate families comes this Chinese New Year. In a project that is known as “Maxis Kongsi Home”, this is one of the many efforts by Lazada’s Corporate Social Responsibilities (Lazada CSR) project in giving back to the people.
Lazada & Maxis – Collaborating Together towards the Common Goal
For many Malaysians, home is where the heart is. This rings true especially during the festive season where nothing is more important than spending your time with your loved ones. But what if you don’t even have a proper home to begin with? This is where “Maxis Kongsi Home” project comes into the picture. In the contemporary age where almost everything is accessible via the internet, it has become so much easier for many Malaysian philanthropists to help others who are less fortunate.
At Lazada Malaysia, we have made the process to be simple and convenient. Simply place one of the five available materials that you wish to donate into your online shopping cart. Then, once everything is confirmed, materials that were purchased will be given to Epic Home for their volunteers to build the houses from. With the available materials and parts priced at the fixed price of RM 8, helping others to have a roof over their heads has never been this easy.
